All new graduate students must apply for admission to Summer Session through the Graduate School and must be formally admitted or readmitted before they can register for summer courses. Continuing graduate students do not need to reapply.
Non Degree Status: To apply for the 2008 Summer Session as a non-degree graduate student, use the Graduate School's online Continuing Education application found at: http://gradschool.binghamton.edu/ps/Ndinstruct.asp. The application fee for Continuing Education (non-degree) admission is $25. Prospective students interested in taking courses given in the School of Management (SOM) and the School of Education (SOE) should consult these schools in advance, as non-degree enrollment is limited.
You must submit one transcript from the college that granted your most recent degree (bachelor's or higher) to the Graduate School no later than six weeks after the beginning of the session.
Degree Status: To apply for degree status, complete the Graduate School's online application at: http://gradschool.binghamton.edu/ps/gradapp.asp. A $60 fee is required to apply for matriculation into a graduate degree program. Complete application instructions are available on the Graduate School web site.
Admission Deferrals (for matriculated students): Applicants who are offered admission to a graduate degree program for the 2008 Summer Session but wish to enroll at a later time must request a deferral of admission prior to the last day of classes. Requests for deferral of admission should be submitted to the Graduate School at gradsch@binghamton.edu. Complete instructions regarding deferrals can be found at http://gradschool.binghamton.edu/cs/enrollmentintent.asp. (Applicants who are already admitted for the fall 2008 semester and have paid their fall semester deposit may register for classes during the 2008 Summer Session without changing the admission date or reapplying.)
Courses must be paid for prior to registration.
