How to Apply for Undergraduate Admission

All of the following applicants must apply for admission to Summer Session, using the form available here or an Undergraduate Admissions Readmission Form, and must be formally admitted or readmitted before they may register for summer courses:

  • Formerly enrolled Binghamton University degree candidates, who did not attend the University in the spring 2008 semester and who have not yet received a bachelor's degree need to contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for a readmission form. Persons in this category are readmitted to the school at Binghamton from which they most recently withdrew.
  • Former non-matriculated/non-degree students who have not been enrolled for two or more major semesters.
  • Undergraduate students at other colleges and universities not scheduled to receive a bachelor's degree in May or June 2008.
  • High school graduates who graduated in spring 2008 and are not enrolled in any college or university may apply as Continuing Education (formerly non-degree) students for the 2008 Summer Session. However, they may not continue in attendance for the fall 2008 or spring 2009 semesters unless admitted to a degree program at Binghamton. Students in this category are urged to restrict their summer registration to courses below the 199-level.

Some Points to Note:

  • Persons in the last three categories above are admitted to the Summer Session as Continuing Education students (formerly non-degree students) at Binghamton University.
  • Applicants with previous college experience must be in good standing at the last institution attended.
  • Acceptance to the Summer Session as a Continuing Education student (formerly non-degree student) in no way implies admission to the University in a degree program for the fall 2008 semester.

College Link Program

Through this program, qualified secondary school and home-schooled students — who complete their junior year by June 2008 — may enroll in and receive college credit for courses satisfactorily completed at Binghamton University. Students interested in starting for Summer Session, must consult with their guidance counselor, then apply to the College Link Program by June 27, 2008. If admitted, such students then select up to eight credits of introductory undergraduate courses for which they are qualified, and may continue for fall and spring terms. Current college Link students, and their high school guidance counselor, will complete the College Link Course request form. Students wishing to apply to College Link starting in summer, should contact their counselor for the University's College Link application and recommendation, and must comply with Binghamton University's health requirements. All new and current College Link students complete the Summer Session Payment Form (available here).

The University does not provide housing for College Link students.
