Summer Session Housing

Summer Session housing will be offered in the Hillside Community apartment complex (Susquehanna Community residents: please refer to the 'Susquehanna Community Information' below) and is available from Monday, May 26, 2008 to Saturday, August 9, 2008. If you desire University housing, please read the information below so you can fulfill your housing requirements as soon as possible. Use the Housing Reservation Request form to reserve campus housing.

Students registered for Summer Session courses will be housed in facilities designed for this purpose in Hillside Community. On campus housing for summer 2008 is limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Hillside, located on the top of a hill at the southwest end of campus, provides a panoramic view of the Susquehanna Valley. The apartments to be used by Summer Session students will be six-bedroom apartments (housing six students in single bedrooms). All apartments include a living-dining room, a full kitchen and bathrooms.

If you have a specific apartment-mate request, please indicate this on the Housing Reservation Request form. Preferences will be honored when possible.

• Check-in for Term I students will be Monday, May 26.
• Check-out for students not remaining for Term II will be Saturday, June 28.
• Check-in for Term II students will be Sunday, July 6.
• Check-out at the end of Summer Session is Saturday, Aug. 9.

Those residents checking out of Hillside prior to the length of time they paid for will receive a refund. Refunds are prorated on a weekly basis only; if you stay for part of a week, you will be charged for the entire week. Weeks run from Sunday through Saturday. Refund requests must be made in writing to the Hillside Community Area Office.

Room reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be notified in writing, to your home address, of your summer housing assignment in Hillside Community. If you have any questions, contact:

Susquehanna Community Information

Note: If you are a spring 2008 and/or a fall 2008 resident of Susquehanna Community, you will be housed in Susquehanna Community during the summer, whether or not you are taking Summer Session courses. Contact the Susquehanna Community Office (607-777-2904) for more information and to obtain reservation forms.
