How to Apply for Undergraduate Admission
All of the following applicants must apply for admission to Summer Session, using the form available here or an Undergraduate Admissions Readmission Form, and must be formally admitted or readmitted before they may register for summer courses:
- Formerly enrolled Binghamton University degree candidates, who did not attend the University in the spring 2009 semester and who have not yet received a bachelor's degree need to contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for a readmission form. Persons in this category are readmitted to the school at Binghamton from which they most recently withdrew.
- Former non-matriculated/non-degree students who have not been enrolled for two or more major semesters.
- Undergraduate students at other colleges and universities not scheduled to receive a bachelor's degree in May or June 2009.
- High school graduates who graduated in spring 2009 and are not enrolled in any college or university may apply as Continuing Education (formerly non-degree) students for the 2009 Summer Session. However, they may not continue in attendance for the fall 2009 or spring 2010 semesters unless admitted to a degree program at Binghamton. Students in this category are urged to restrict their summer registration to courses below the 199-level.
Some Points to Note:
- Persons in the last three categories above are admitted to the Summer Session as Non-Degree students at Binghamton University.
- Applicants with previous college experience must be in good standing at the last institution attended.
- Acceptance to the Summer Session as a Non-Degree student in no way implies admission to the University in a degree program for the fall 2009 semester.
